Bruce Clement is a 32 year veteran of the computer industry. Currently working as a team leader / working developer for a large MIS package written in C++ Bruce also has a keen interest in internet domain names and internet branding that he pursues through his domain collection and blog Domaining NZ Although he accepts it is established practice, Bruce always finds it weird to be writing about himself in the third person. Bruce is a keen commentator on world politics, New Zealand society and the human condition in general. His interests vary from travel and a love of knowledge for its own sake to fiction both the classics and modern. It should come as no surprise that his CD collection ranges from Baroque harpsichord to Alice Cooper's original try-out record in one direction and from Abba to Zappa in the other. Bruce loves comedy, his influences are the English comedians of the 50s and 60s: The Goons, ITMA, Flanders and Swann, Milligan's Q series (the early ones, anyway) Monty Python, and even The Goodies and some American stand-up comedians such as Bill Cosby. Of course he loves Billy Connelly as well, but most from his early days. Recently Bruce tried stand-up comedy himself at the Auckland Comedy Club and found it an interesting experience, one he'll probably repeat one day.
